Reopening can be a daunting task as businesses face unfamiliar guidance and uncertainty. But there are some keys to help traverse the landscape such as performing a detailed risk assessment and implementing a site-specific protection and response plan. Prior to serving in the Assembly, she worked as a law professor and environmental attorney. In Sacramento, the Assemblymember works to represent the values of AD 16, advocating for education funding, environmental protection, fiscal responsibility, and more. She serves on five committees including Appropriations, Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials, Privacy and Consumer Protection, Public Safety, and Banking and Finance. She lives in Orinda with her husband and three school-age children.

Unable to make the trip, he does the next best thing: he builds a camino behind his house on Vashon Island, starts to walk, and traces his progress on a map.

Friday, September 25, 2020Chamber Board

Deadline for Board Petitions

The petition to run for the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is now available. This year the petition may be signed virtually by five current Chamber members and returned by September 25, 2020. Simply make sure you have a verbal agreement from those Chamber members.

 

The term of office for the new Directors will be January, 2021 through December, 2022. Voting will take place between October 1-15. Ballots will be mailed to all Chamber Members.

 

The Chamber Board, comprised of 17 elected representatives, 2-3 appointed directors-at-large, and a number of non-voting advisors, is the policy making arm of the Chamber and has final authority in all decisions affecting the organization. Board members are required to attend the annual Planning Retreat and monthly Board Meetings. In addition, they are expected to actively serve on at least one Chamber Committee.
