Lafayette Dress Up Drive
Take the Pandemic Pass on Traditional Trick-Or-Treating and Participate in the Lafayette Dress Up Drive!

In place of trick-or-treating during the COVID-19 pandemic, participate in this community-wide, socially distant Halloween celebration! Put on your costumes, dress up your house or business, and/or dress up your car with Halloween decorations. Whether you enjoy from the comfort of your haunted house/business or drive around town in your wicked wagons, come see the all-out, over-the-top spooktacular decorations this year all around Lafayette.  Music, lights, fog machines ... this is your year to go all out!

We encourage decorations to go up in the weeks prior to Halloween. But be ready for the official town tour the evening of October 31st. Register your house/business to be featured on our online map by 10/23.The map will be posted to the City website the week of October 26th.  Please remember that this is a COVID-19 friendly, bring your own candy event. So please do not pass out candy, remain in your car/yard and maintain physical distance at all times. Obey all traffic laws & be aware of your surroundings. Register your house/business as a stop to be seen by clicking the link.

• BPD Chief Ed Alvarez created a new Progressive Policing and Community Engagement Bureau;

• BART has extended partnerships with community-based providers like Homeless Outreach Teams (HOT) to help connect those in need with services;
• The focus of these unarmed personnel is on education, outreach, and prevention

Hospice East Bay Tree of Lights

Hospice East Bay Tree of Lights

Hospice East Bay is proud to be celebrating our 34th annual Tree of Lights! These ceremonies have provided a way for families and friends to honor their loved ones and find solace in the symbolism of light as the names of their loved ones are read.

The funds raised by these ceremonies make it possible for us to provide hospice care to patients who are not covered by insurance. Your support also allows us to offer additional services and programs, such as music therapy and children’s grief programs.

Our ceremony for the Lafayette will be held virtually on Tuesday, November 17, at 5:30pm

Note: All tree lighting ceremonies will be held virtually this year. However, some locations may allow guests to congregate safely with social distancing guidelines.

Thank you for your support - it makes all the difference!
