The mission of the Lamorinda Arts Council is to ignite and sustain artistic expression and appreciation for all ages throughout Lamorinda.

We are an engaged group of volunteers and donors who deveop and produce events, partner with professional organizations and artists, give financial support and awards, and advocate for a vibrant local culture of visual, performing, and literary arts.

Founded in 1950 as the Orinda Arts Council, the Lamorinda Arts Council has been stimulating, supporting, and advocating for the visual and performing arts in the schools and community for over sixty years. Key contributions to the schools and community include Lamorinda Idol, the High School Visual Arts Competiton, Lamorinda ShortDocs Film Fest, Art in Public Places, the Art Gallery at the Orinda Library, school musicals, and much more!

Lamorinda Living podcast is a new podcast being launched to foster professional and personal connections for residents in Lamorinda.

Lamorinda Village is a network of members and volunteers providing services and supports for aging in our homes, serving residents 55+.

The specific purposes of the Lamorinda Winegrowers Association are to provide on-going education and support for its members in the areas of vineyard maintenance and management, and winemaking; foster communication and the exchange of information among its members.

Loaves & Fishes is a local non-profit whose mission is to feed the hungry of Contra Costa County.

MCE is a not-for-profit, public electricity provider that gives customers the choice of having 50% to 100% of their electricity supplied from clean, renewable sources at competitive rates. By choosing MCE, customers help support new in-state and local renewable energy projects and jobs.

Mountain Shadow Film Society is a member-based 501.c.3 arts and education non-profit, bringing the best in foreign and independent filmmaking to our local communities. It welcomes the general public to attend our shows each month when the library theater venue has reopened; or meanwhile find our shows streaming online. See website for details.
