The Lafayette Juniors, founded in 1953, is a nonprofit organization made up of local women who come together to raise funds and offer service in support of other nonprofits that serve children, families and seniors in need throughout Contra Costa and neighboring counties in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

 

Our diverse membership includes educators, stay-at-home mothers, executives, artists, attorneys, financial advisors and business owners of all ages. We leverage this breadth of talents and experience to make impactful contributions to our community and make lasting friendships while doing so!

Together with our supporters, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center Foundation changes lives by sustaining the Library as a vibrant regional center for lifelong learning; providing equitable access to Library resources, creative tools, programs, and professional expertise for the benefit of everyone.

LPIE is a local, nonprofit education foundation that has been ensuring our children receive a robust and well-rounded education for over 40 years. Our mission is to support and enrich the education of every child in the Lafayette public schools. Excellent schools play an important role in the vitality of our community, help maintain high home values, and contribute to a healthy business environment. The mission of the Lamorinda Arts Council is to ignite and sustain artistic expression and appreciation for all ages throughout Lamorinda.

We are an engaged group of volunteers and donors who develop and produce events, partner with professional organizations and artists, give financial support and awards, and advocate for a vibrant local culture of visual, performing, and literary arts.

Founded in 1950 as the Orinda Arts Council, the Lamorinda Arts Council has been stimulating, supporting, and advocating for the visual and performing arts in the schools and community for over sixty years. Key contributions to the schools and community include Lamorinda Idol, the High School Visual Arts Competiton, Art in Public Places, the Art Galleries at the Orinda Library and Wilder, school musicals, and much more!

The Lamorinda Spirit Van provides door to and through door transportation for Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda seniors.  We are delighted to take older adults (60 years +) and persons with disabilities to lunch at Cafe Costa, to medical and personal appointments, errands, shopping, special events, social occasions, visit a friend, and just about anything else. We operate Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The specific purposes of the Lamorinda Winegrowers Association are to provide on-going education and support for its members in the areas of vineyard maintenance and management, and winemaking; foster communication and the exchange of information among its members.
