SCORE has the largest network of free volunteer small business mentors in the nation. No matter what stage your business is at SCORE can be a valuable resource.

The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce has been partnering with SCORE for over 15 years. We welcome our chamber members and community members to schedule a complimentary meeting with a SCORE representative on Tuesdays between the hours of 1:30pm-4:00pm in our Chamber office at 251 Lafayette Circle, Ste 150. 

Mike Harris is our in-house SCORE counselor. Mike earned a BS with an emphasis on electronics from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Santa Clara University. After a few years in engineering, Mike spent most of his career in high tech marketing and operations management. While continuing to work in electronics he helped manage his family retail business. After retiring from his career in electronics, Mike began working with small businesses helping them obtain working capital loans. Besides mentoring, Mike helps present SCORE business plans and financial planning workshops.

In person meetings at the Lafayette Chamber office are by appointment only and are scheduled every 30 minutes. Join us for a ribbon cutting at ISI Elite Training Walnut Creek!

The Lafayette Chamber will join ISI Elite Training for a Ribbon Cutting celebration at 4pm, cutting the ribbon at 4:15pm SHARP! Following the Ribbon Cutting at 5:10pm ISI Elite Training will host a free workout session to those who would like to participate! Register below.

Lafayette Chamber Young Professionals October Social will be held at Headlands Brewing Thursday, November 7, 2024, 5:30pm-7pm.

We offer these twice a month here at our Chamber offices, the 2nd Tuesday at 10am and the 4th Wednesday at 3pm. We are located at 251 Lafayette Circle Ste 150, Lafayette CA 94549.

Lafayette Business Women will be meet to celebrate the holidays at Little Seeds, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, 5:15pm-6:30pm.

Registration required!

Community Thanksgiving Breakfast

We invite everyone: politicians, non-profits, school representatives, business leaders, community leaders, Rotarians, our Chamber members, and the greater community to all come together to share in a breakfast and enjoy the speakers.

GUEST SPEAKER: Gaby Ghorbani, Founder and Executive Director, Pledge To Humanity

Seasoned entrepreneur and philanthropist of 25+ years, Gaby was born and raised in Mexico before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. Driven to create positive change, Gaby founded Pledge to Humanity to provide local and global volunteer opportunities for students and empower them to become compassionate changemakers. To date, Pledge to Humanity has empowered 10K+ students and worked with at least 30 nonprofit organizations.

Gaby's dedication to philanthropy is showcased in her establishment of Sueños Amor y Esperanza in Jalisco, Mexico, an after-school community center for under-resourced children. Her commitment to sustainable social impact and empowering people of all ages is at the core of her mission. 

In 2017, Gaby demonstrated her entrepreneurial spirit and humanitarian values by founding jewelry social enterprise, Love You More. Through every purchase, customers acquire beautiful jewelry, while contributing to local and global philanthropic causes. Gaby's ventures exemplify how business acumen can be intertwined with social responsibility, creating a ripple effect of positive impact.

About the Lafayette Chamber's Retail Committee

The intention of the sub-committee is to support the growth and success of the retail businesses in our local community. The sub-committee plans to curate special events this year that will showcase our retail businesses with the goal of continuing to cultivate a vibrant and thriving downtown.

This FREE, fun, family-friendly celebration includes Santa sightings, free train rides on the Lafayette Express, official holiday tree lighting ceremony, one-of-a-kind photo ops, live musical entertainment, kid’s activities, holiday treats and more! Arrive early and plan to stay!

Festivities begin at 4pm when Santa is scheduled to parade along Golden Gate Way starting at the Lafayette Historical Society and arriving at Lafayette Plaza (corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Moraga Road) at 4:30pm. A must-not-miss for the little ones! 

The “It’s a Wonderful Life in Lafayette” Holiday Celebration event is presented by the Lafayette Chamber, and sponsored by local Lafayette Realtor The Dana Green Team, Branagh Development, and the City of Lafayette who together are also hosting the environmentally-friendly downtown Lafayette twinkle lights for the Holiday Season.
