The Giving Exchange
www.thegivingexchange.net
The Giving Exchange partners with under-resourced communities to implement self-sustaining projects for a lasting impact. We dream of a world where children have every opportunity to build their best future; where all needs for education, health and livelihood are met by locally-grown resources; and where communities are implementing the solutions they need to make life better for themselves and for generations to come. There are many ways for you to get involved: fund a project, volunteer remotely, travel to East Africa as an Ambassador, and more.

The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation
https://www.nephroticsyndromefoundation.org
The Nephrotic Syndrome Foundation is a non-profit organization supporting those diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, their families and the ongoing search for a cure. Nephrotic Syndrome is a serious and rare auto-immune disease that attacks the kidneys causing them to shut down. There is no known cause or cure. Treatments are extremely limited and consist primarily of steroids, cancer, and transplant medications. Many patients are children who spend a major part of their life in and out of the hospital, trying to find a treatment that keeps them in remission while managing the side effects. Receiving this diagnosis is life-changing. It can take the breath out of any parent or child who finds themselves in this situation. Our goal at NSF is to meet each family and child in these tough times and lift each one up as best we can by providing financial and emotional support to help them weather the times to better health, acceptance, and adjustment.

Underdog Animal Rescue
https://www.underdogca.com/
Our mission is to eliminate the euthanasia of adoptable animals by providing for the rescue, spay/neuter, foster care, and adoption of homeless pets. Underdog Animal Rescue opened its doors to dogs in need mid 2014. Since then, we have grown into a strong network of people dedicated to saving the Underdogs. We have dedicated our efforts to giving a chance to the dogs that are most in need (medically or behaviorally) and the dogs that have been overlooked for too long. We rescue all breeds, ages and sizes both from the public and shelters all over the state. In our 8 years we have rescued and adopted out over 2500 dogs and helped thousands of dogs of the public safely find new homes, get medical attention and supplies. We are fully volunteer based and foster fueled, we do not have our own facility, but have big dreams to expand into a facility to make an even bigger impact. Our bigger focus will be on education through rescue with elementary age children because that is the only way to change the future.
It's been hard work but work that needs to be done. As a rescue, we believe it is our duty to save the dogs that really need our help. Rescues should be helping the dogs that need a little TLC, a little medical care, and just someone to believe in them again. This is why we save the dogs that are on their last days at the shelter or haven't even been given a chance to be adopted by the public. We hope we never lose sight of what we are trying to do, and never stop helping the dogs that really need our help. As much as we love those sweet puppy eyes, we think more of saving their mommies and daddies that have been shoved to the back of the shelter awaiting their fate. We are always in need of fosters, volunteers and supplies. Thank you for seeing what we do and loving us for it. Underdog animal rescue is a fully insured non profit organization

Youth Homes
www.youthhomes.org
Our mission: We nurture an inclusive environment of healing through trauma-informed care for Bay Area foster youth and young adults.
Our vision: A sustainable future where youth embrace hope, discover their purpose, and develop the tools to lead fulfilling lives.
Since 1965, Youth Homes has supported underserved youth and young adults with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. We provide a broad scope of services designed to empower young people and their families to create positive, sustainable change. We weave the expertise of professionals, the compassion of our dedicated community members and the resourcefulness of our youth and families into something that can feel like magic.
But it’s not magic. It’s extraordinarily hard work for youth, families, staff, and volunteers. And that hard work leads directly to successful outcomes — healthier families, children who believe in themselves and their potential, and communities that support young people and their futures.
