I am a 65 year on and off again resident of Lafayette and graduate of Acalanes and Cal Berkeley. I spent 12 years operating a produce store and juice bar in Lafayette and Walnut Creek. After an opportunity for reflection I decided to pursue working with wood as that has been my passion since I was 10 and built 20 or so skateboards. My brother and I began doing wood display cases for Sennelier art products but eventually settled on doing hardwood floors. This financed eventually a complete woodshop and over time a large collection of rare and highly figured wood with the eventual goal of working on furniture featuring this wood. Finally I retired this year and I am building beautiful furniture as art.
